The trophy for the winning team at the Women's Chess Olympiad is named the Vera Menchik Cup, in honor of the first women's world chess champion. The Soviet Union has won it the most, securing the trophy 11 times. It was established at the first Women's Chess Olympiad in Emmen, Netherlands, in 1957. The cup bears the names of all the countries that have ever won it.
