Vasily Smyslov’s setlist encompassing the repertoire of pieces he performed. As a baritone, Smyslov initially pursued a career in music. However, after a failed audition with the Bolshoi Theatre in 1950, he shifted his focus to chess. Despite this, his love for music endured throughout his life. Smyslov continued to study vocals and maintained his beautiful baritone voice into old age. At 75, he performed a solo concert with a symphony orchestra in the Moscow Conservatory’s hall and recorded two rare discs.
